The Best Free HTML Editors for Mac
I’ve been a Mac guy for a while now, and while the transition overall has been smooth, it wasn’t until recently that I finally got enough programs related to web design to do all of my web design and maintenance work on the Mac platform.
For ftp I still use my favorite program, FileZilla:
I found Text Wrangler to be a great HTML editor if you just want to mess around with code. It’s also great for opening and editing CSS and PHP files:

You can also download it for free in the Mac App store as I did:

Now the hardest thing to find was an HTML editor with a solid WYSIWYG editor built in. Finally I found Blue Griffon and I couldn’t be happier:
All of the above programs work with Lion as well.
So, I hope this post saves you a lot of time and money. Feel free to chime in with any related helpful tips or questions!
Thanks!
